Freedom Diaries at Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026

The Hrystia Hranovska Foundation took part in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk, where leaders, partners, and organizations came together to discuss Ukraine’s recovery.
Our Founder, Hrystia Khranovska, joined the conference, and our Executive Director, Halyna Samchuk, presented Freedom Diaries at the Ukraine Pavilion.
During her speech, Halyna shared an important message: Ukraine’s recovery is not only about buildings and the economy. It is also about children who will shape Ukraine’s future. That is why it is so important to help Ukrainian children living abroad stay connected to their language, culture, and identity.
Halyna also shared the story of a girl from Freedom Diaries. During one of our workshops, we asked her to draw a place where she feels free. She drew Ukraine and said:
“I want it to be even more beautiful when I grow up.”
This is why we created Freedom Diaries.
Thank you to the Freedom TV journalists for sharing this story and helping more people understand why supporting Ukrainian children matters.
