Lesson 11

Citizenship as community and belonging
Lesson 11

The lesson helps children explore the concepts of citizenship and belonging through observation, associations, creative activities, and philosophical reflection. Students are encouraged to think, imagine, discuss, share personal experiences, and ask “strange” questions. The central symbolic element is the “jar of community,” which children fill with meanings, drawings, or ideas.
