Lesson 12

Citizenship as a choice
Lesson 12

The lesson explores citizenship not only as a legal status but as a conscious choice connected to identity, freedom, and belonging. Using the imagery of suitcases, animals, documents, and philosophical questions, children reflect on who has the right to be a citizen and what it truly means. Through creative and reflective activities, students investigate their uniqueness, values, and what makes a person truly “themselves.”
