Lesson 19

Who is the community?
Lesson 19

This lesson invites students to reflect on the concept of community through observation, body awareness, emotions, metaphors, and creativity. Students silently engage with images, share their initial impressions, create a “living circle” as a symbol of togetherness, examine visual and textual elements on a page, and ask philosophical questions about belonging, diversity, and the boundaries of communities. The lesson develops emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and empathy, fostering values of participation, inclusion, and responsibility. It helps children feel like an important part of the collective “we” without losing their individual identity.
