My home, my language
Lesson 16

The lesson focuses on helping students understand home as a symbol of personal identity and language as a key element of belonging. Through images, visual observation, and metaphorical and philosophical thinking, children explore their own experiences related to home, language, culture, and memory. Special attention is given to multilingualism, national identity, emotional attachment to language, and cultural context. The lesson aims to develop empathy for others’ experiences and the ability to articulate personal meanings within a culturally diverse environment.
